Now that the nominations for our April WordPress package winner are closed, it’s time to vote between now and the end of Sunday, 11th April (voting panel in the sidebar – just to the right >>>).
The suggestions are for:
Mark Ballantyne nominated the Hovercraft Museum – based in Lee-on-the-Solent, and which has the only collection in the world of historic hovercraft! There are 60 hovercraft within several hangars on the Daedalus site. They really do need a website that is much easier to update, and a thorough makeover while we’re about it. “The charity could do with some much needed help in this respect.” WordPress would certainly offer what they need and enable their website to attract more visitors to the museum.
Next is the Hawkinge Community Centre (HCC) website in Kent. “HCC has charitable status, and has turned round in the last year from being a loss maker to a marginal profit maker, and we could do with all the help we can get to keep it active.” Plenty of ideas spring to mind and WordPress would certainly be useful for such centres.
And third is to support Fiona, who, after losing her sister to leukaemia a few years ago, is looking to raise money for Leukaemia Research. “Fi is a huge West End shows fan. She has been lucky enough to get some famous name autographs which she is looking to use to raise money for Leukemia Research. It will be called Forget-me-Not project and she is a complete, complete novice in the area of websites! So any help she can get to get this off the ground would be wonderful.”
So – there you are – vote away in the poll over on the right there, and choose the winner so that we can set about helping. Thank you!

Im sure the other two are very worthwhile causes but for me its got to be Fiona!
I vote for Fiona.

While we could do with some help at Hawkinge Community Centre, I reckon Fiona's cause is more worthy, and I add my support to her.
