Well, literally not figuratively . Or is it the other way around?
I was thinking about premium WordPress plugins.
What do you use?
If you don’t use them, why?
I have two.
One I lost. Yup, forgot what it was called and where I downloaded it. The other one is an RSS bomber, which I have yet to use. At least I know where that one is!
Out there in the big wide WordPress plugin world, there are many premium plugins that enhance your SEO, promise to fetch you traffic and even bake you a cake of you let them. Ok, I am making up the cake baking bit, but if there was one, I’d know about it.
So can your words be music to my ears? Can you tell me what you recommend as premium WordPress plugins, point me to any reviews that have caught your eye?
If you have created a WP premium plugin, come and tell us about it, as I said I am all ears today
Sarah

Oh Sarah its me again and I dont even understand what they are let alone use one – I have been talking to Karen at Essex university today about an intern? graduate for the summer brake weeks, working at our company to teach us how too.. and when too…or why… so we can join the 21st century technology – see look I even used an 'ology' word !!
so as far as a recommendation goes my 'ears' hurt.
I have the RSS bomber one – can't say it's made a huge amount of difference though.
I also have a couple of membership premium plugins for a new site i'm developing, but apart from that can usually find what I need for free! (Which happens to be my favourite price LOL)
If I couldn't find a free one though I'd definteily look at premium ones, and even having one developed to do what I want to do.
I'd also add that even when using freebie ones I donate to the author where possible for each use of the plugin.
Do you combine the RSS bomber thingy with the dappers site? that's supposed to be RSS on steriods.
I often donate to the free ones, even coders need their coffee!
Jacqui an intern to do all this for you would make your life a whole lot easier. Don't forget to talk to Richard from Thurrock Learning Shop too, he does this and he is local to you.
Sadly the plugin options are limited on the version of wordpress that you use, as it's the free version. It took me a long time to work that one out – maybe there is something in the Essex water
can you send me Richards link/twitter etc thank you
I use Dapper, but then again I am a tech-head! It now also does SEO friendly (ie: keywords) URL's!
I learnt from people wiser than me – Nikki included; and from the disappearing act which was my wallet on starting to use WPress, that “premium” plugins had all the problems of free plugins:
* Never all tested together, so you got strange effects
* Most of the premium plugins are sold as time savings devices. So unless you find that strategy/tactic effective, what's the point?
Plus, if you don't learn it manually, it will go wrong and you won't apply it well.
If free works for you, then go premium – other wise, dump the idea!
Do you combine the RSS bomber with Dapper? results wise, how has it worked out for you?
