Having noticed that the CountPerDay stats were no longer performing, having stalled for some unknown reason on a couple of blogs I thought I’d do a quick tip on how to kickstart them again.
Which is actually simply a matter of deactivating said plugin and then activating it afresh. That will usually do the trick, and indeed has for the CountPerDay stats. Of course we cannot recover the lost stats but at least future information will be there to review.
This can happen with plugins, for any of a number of reasons and it’s not worth fretting over, to be honest – it happens. Keep an eye on things so that catch such annoyances soon and can “reboot” the pesky plugin.
It’s something we should all do regularly anyway, review our plugins, to see what needs updating, what we no longer need, and perhaps what new functions are available now.
So that’s our quick tip for today – go check that your plugins are behaving themselves. I think I’ll just go check on the TweetMeMe plugin – I know that this morning’s post was retweeted more than the once…
