In 2009 Matt Mullenweg decreed 28th January each year to be “Thank a Plugin Developer Day“, and justly so. But of course we don’t only have to be grateful on that one day each year – any day is good to say “Thank You”.
We have over 42,000 plugins at our fingertips now. They handle our spam, backups, security, sharing and following and just about anything we might want to do with our WordPress websites or blogs.
What would we do without them? I really don’t need to go into that, do I. Let’s just remember to say “Thanks” at least once a year.
Go to your Plugins section within your dashboard, view the Active plugins and consider which you really want to thank, if just to rate on the WordPress plugin repository:
Go to View Details for the plugin
Then go to the WordPress.org Plugin Page
Add your rating, which will take you to the review section
Add your feedback and there you go.
You can also donate if that option is available – if every user of a plugin gave a £ or $ or € that would likely encourage the lovely developer to do more (and she/he could then more probably afford to!).
