I love enabling you to work on things yourself, to make you feel comfortable with looking after your website, your WordPress, yourself. Indeed, more blog posts will follow on how to do your own WordPress maintenance.
Some of you want someone to take care of everything for you, and I thoroughly enjoy this too. This can be simply ensuring everything is kept updated and generally keeping an eye that all is well, stepping in when necessary, though to working with you as a part of your team, really caring for your website as if it was my own, coming up with ideas that can support your marketing, and checking that your WordPress site is doing all it can to support you.
You may not realise how important it is to look after your website but it really is, for many reasons, not least that you need to trust that this essential part of your marketing is ready and able to do all you need of it. And then there may be aspects of online marketing that you may not be aware of, that you’d like someone to help with, to suggest stuff that may be helpful or generate more interest and business for you.
So, as a starting point (because each of you needs different things), I’ve brought together the following packages for WordPress maintenance:
Plugin updates (not premium)
Theme updates (not premium)
Any issues with updates resolved
24/7 security monitoring
Link scan and report or fix
Image and file optimisation
All of Standard, plus:
Content changes to existing pages
Monthly plugin review
More frequent backups if advisable
All of Extra, plus:
Additional content changes, inc new pages or blog posts
Minor tweaks to the design (logo replace, re-arrange widgets, simple changes to existing theme)
Google Analytics review & report
You can read the full details of each service listed on the individual pages. It may be that you have a few sites to be cared for, or that you want something not listed included with your maintenance or support, to mix and match some – whatever you need, or are unsure about, please just ask.
By using WordPress for your website, you are a part of the WordPress community, perhaps not directly but whoever is providing the functionality, the design, the support – they all are. WP&UP is a charity that supports positive mental health, and more, for everyone with the community. This is something we are committed to supporting and as such we are donating 5% of our maintenance turnover each month.
