Within the rescue review we’ll take a look to see what’s happened and how to fix things. If we can sort it out there and then, we will. If more needs to be done, we’ll let you know what and how much it will be to get you live again.
Tell us what is ailing your WordPress blog or website. There will be a way to fix things, it may be something a quick dose of castor oil will sort out, or could be that surgery is necessary.
It happens to all of us at some time from the “white/blue/black screen of doom” to all kinds of strange and wonderful goings-on.
The first thing we need to know is that happened last within your blog? Did you just upgrade something? 90% of the time that is when a problem can arise and someone (us included when we’re being lazy/cavalier/complacent) has not done the “backup, deactivate plugins, then upgrade…” process.
And if it looks like a plugin, we pop in with your ftp details and take them all out and put them back one by one until we find the culprit – or some combination of these things. This is often a solution that works – a plugin that no longer works with your WordPress setup. I’ll add a video here the next time this happens, so you can follow and action yourself.
Another thing to try is the search function here, or to Google the issue. Someone, somewhere in the world has had the same problem as you, and they will have asked about it online.
